I hate it when stupid internet stuff gets stuck in my head. For example, lately whenever someone says “oh really?”, or I find myself saying it, this image pops into my head:
This has been posted all over the internet. It’s not really funny…it barely even makes sense (but see here for a bit of an explanation). Yet it just pops in my head all the time. I’ve stopped saying anything interesting or even mildly unbelievable, just in case someone says “oh, really?” to me, causing this:
Sometimes it’s not even caused by anything. I’ll just be sitting there, or trying to get to sleep, when suddenly:
GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HEAD!

hahaha… whenever i’m in the middle of a conversation and i’m not paying attention, i get that glare like they just said something important… then i think to myself, ‘oh crap’… what did they just say?… first thing that comes to mind – “oh really?”… 7 out of 8 times i amd able to evade danger… however, now i have to think of some other clever escape that doesn’t include a giant white owl popping in my head… thanks alot Phronk!

Heheh, yeah I know exactly what you mean. The worst is when someone just asked you a question which you weren’t paying attention to, and your response is “oh really?” It’s that 1/8th of the time that really sucks. Maybe that owl is imitating the angry/confused glare that usually results.

My feelings exactly… I haven’t been able to get that out of my head for three days but mine’s actually longer– “O RLY?” “YA RLY!” “NO WAI!”…which is what made me google it and find as much stuff about it as possible, which in turn brought me here. Sick, I know.I want to hurt someone.
